I'm Eszter Godor, entrepreneur in Granada, Spain, Founder of Jump Start Your School. Thank you for visiting!

You might also know me as the Founder of Kids Online English (formerly Esztertainment), an English Academy for children which I ran for 8 exciting years.

I started Jump Start Your School in 2018, and since 2021 I have been fully focusing on this space, where I bring together like-minded teaching business owners to learn, grow, and support each other.

It all started in my Living Room

After leaving my well-paying corporate job in Hungary, and moving to Spain in 2013, I decided I would start my own business. With zero experience in entrepreneurship, and without speaking the local language.

Back then I thought it was enough to just put your heart and soul into what you do, and it will automatically turn into a successful business.

So I started organizing fun English experience workshops for kids and adults in restaurants, on the streets of Granada, and in my living room. 

When I had 20 students, I felt like on a roll and I rented my first venue, a little office space, close to primary schools in the area.

The road was bumpier than I ever imagined

I opened full of enthusiasm and excitement! Still, not everyone was as excited! I spent the first year in literally empty classrooms, with my expenses all being over the roof...

On the side, to keep my dream alive, I was working as a travelling book lady, selling English books at schools.

It took me another year to figure out, that I wasn't talking to the right audience at my academy. 

The people I had would never truly understand my dream, and they would never be willing to pay the prices my service was worth. 

Working with Dream Students and a Dream Team

Finally, when I dared to be fully honest about what my dreams are, and when I started charging the prices I was worth (80% more than before), was when my true Dream Students came into my world. 

Better said, our world, as in that year my team grew to 7, and first time ever, we reached a 6-figure income year.

Not even the pandemic stopped us, when it happened we were already so efficient, that we turned our brick & mortar school into an online business within the course of 3 DAYS (!)

Turning Point

In 2021 I had to make a choice, as running my school and keeping this space at the same time wasn't a possibility. 

I wanted time for my family and MYSELF. So I made the difficult choice to say goodbye to the academy (you can still enjoy our story at our old IG account which I kept).

Now I have all the time I want, for us, while I collected all the lessons learned and hand them over to you if you select me as your guide.

Thanks to my school's success, and to this space, I now have the freedom to only spend time with people I love (both in my business and my private life), and build a business fully around my LIFE, and not the other way around.
